Restaurant websites and online ordering in Spain
Restaurant pages should make menus, hours, location and reservations easy to find. Pickup and delivery also require order acceptance, preparation and fulfilment. We define these workflows for restaurants, bars and cafés before choosing website features.
Discuss my business websiteMenus, reservations and orders are different journeys
A menu displays dishes and prices; reservations need party size, time and confirmation; food orders add availability, extras, payment and collection. Specify which journeys are included: a contact form is not a complete automated booking system.
Match orders to kitchen capacity
Define hours, unavailable dishes, preparation times, delivery areas and capacity. POS, printer or kitchen connections require device, network and API review, including outages, duplicate orders and failed acceptance. The operator confirms and maintains menu information.
Keep menus readable and current
Avoid relying only on a difficult-to-read menu image. Categories and booking need text and links; address and hours must stay consistent. Language versions should reflect the same available dishes rather than leaving an outdated menu in another language.
Document how each order is accepted
Bring menus, image permissions, hours, reservation rules, delivery coverage and current POS details. Tests include sold-out dishes, closing time, out-of-area addresses, cancellations, failed payments and kitchen confirmation, with an assigned order owner.
Questions before development
Can the first release just show a menu?
Yes. Menu, location, hours and contact can be the initial scope, adding reservations or orders when requirements are clear.
Can orders go directly to the kitchen?
That depends on the POS, printer or kitchen system and deployment. We check interfaces and devices before committing.
Can we keep third-party delivery platforms?
Yes through links. Menu or order synchronisation requires checking each platform’s permissions, interfaces and limits.
Features, integrations, timelines and costs are confirmed in the proposal for your business.
